Computer viruses are just like human viruses. As a human a virus can interfere with your bodies natural working processes. A computer virus can also interfere with the computers inner processes, and the hard-drive which is the place where all the data is stored. Both are viruses, and both can be prevented by using an anti-virus. One is given by a medical doctor, and the other by anti virus software, both do some damage, but on different bodies.

It is recommanded to back-up your data, so if something malicious happens, you will be ready to restore your data. It can be from pop-ups of advertisements on your computer while surfing the internet, or silly things like shutting down your screen, or opening your CD-Rom. You ask yourself, what they get from this and why, well, no reason, if you have a virus it is better be from this kind, the are not really harming your computer and have not been programmed to damage your computer.
